My New Camera

Jack and I went to LA for a friends birthday party... it seems this year everyone hit a milestone.  This is the third guy to turn a big one this year... I can't even say what it is ... scary.
Last week, when I was in Santa Barbara,  the zoom  on my Leica camera decided it was thru working.   A few years ago it was dropped, I sent it in for repair and it came back and for the longest time it worked wonderfully.   Leaving the house without that camera was never an option, so this has been a hard adjustment.
Well I bought a new Leica with more bells and whistles than the last one... I need to read the manual and play with it more .... so please endure with me.
I know I need more practice... but I had to post the photos above because the place was so lovely and I enjoyed playing with the shadows and back lighting.

Very nice photos. More details on camera please. Love Leica. My pocket camera is a Panasonic Lumix with a Leica lens that is great.

LOVELY photos! ENJOY your new camera! I know what you mean about leaving home without a camera... these days since beginning blogging I never leave home without it... don't want to miss anything!

Love the photos! Especially the first one, and the pic of the long table. Good luck with the new camera!

So exciting Diane! I love the first image too - it looks like it could grace the cover of a wonderful book very easily - bravo! Now let me go away & think of a story to go with it.

Such pretty still lifes!
I thought they were taken in New York, but Le Pain Quoutidien is the same everywhere...
